Class of 2020, Valedictorian, Salutatorian and Rank Freeze
At the end of the first semester of the senior year, the final rank in class shall be determined for each senior student. The cumulative, weighted district GPA is used to determine rank in class. An official Final Grade Report for HVS, FLVS or Dual enrollment transcripts, must be dated, with a completion date, no later than January 11, 2020 in order to be included in the cumulative weighted GPA for final class rank calculation. Student's, double check your Student Summary to ensure you have all your credits in before Jan 11th. You can request a Student Summary in guidance.

- English Language Arts (ELA), commonly referred to as FSA Reading is taken in the 10th grade
- May use a passing score on the Reading/Language portions of the SAT or ACT
- Given in semester two of Algebra 1 or Algebra 1-B
- May use a passing score on the Post-Secondary
- Note the rule is one course, not one credit. This means:
- If a class is only worth a 1/2 credit, completing it online meets the requirement
- However, if a class is worth a whole credit, taking only half of the class DOES NOT meet the requirement
